Last spring, on a particular night I laid in bed awake much longer than normal. The night was fun and uneventful - my husband and I enjoyed a date night at home listening to our favorite music. So it’s not like I was stressed or anxious about work. But I remember laying on my back, eyes open, staring at the ceiling. Emotions: calm and peaceful and curious. I had a late-night creative itch, just like I used to get in high school when I’d stay up until two or three o’clock writing.
